Purchasing Agent
$22 - $23 per hour (Onsite role in Glens Falls, NY)

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing inventory, handling vendor relationships, and supporting the procurement process to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. Position Overview:
- Manage material and inventory planning, utilizing MRP and MPS systems to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, vendor quotes, and documentation.
- Evaluate vendor pricing, availability, and track purchase order acknowledgments.
- Work closely with engineering teams to prepare requests for Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and drawing updates.
- Organize and maintain purchase order documentation, acknowledgments, and receipts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers.
- An associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or related field is highly desirable.
- ASCM certifications and credentials are a plus.
- Project and product management experience is preferred.
- Black Belt certification is not required but will be considered a plus.
