What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR position at Confidential?
We are looking for a reliable full time individual for day shift in a fast paced growing company. Offering top pay with a generous benefit package.
Must be self-sufficient with the ability to perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. Tools used for inspection include but are not limited to micrometers, calipers, indicators, and electronic height gages. Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso CMM software is a plus, but not required. Inspection reports and tool calibration will be maintained with High QA Quality Management software. Candidate must be team oriented and able to create and maintain organized documentation processes.
We are looking to grow and expand this department with additional new equipment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with extensive mechanical inspection experience.
We are a family owned manufacturing company, utilizing highly skilled employees combined with high end equipment to produce complex machined components in low to moderate quantities. Our equipment includes the latest technology in 5 axis Mill/Turn, 3 & 4 axis CNC Milling, CNC Turning, and Wire EDM. We have been in business for over 40 years servicing diverse industries including semiconductor, medical, robotics and countless other commercial high-tech markets.
Responsibilities / Skills
- Experience in a job shop environment.
- Self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through while maintaining a safe, clean and organized workspace.
- Inspect parts meeting specifications as tight as ±.0002” on materials including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, titanium, etc.
- Work from job travelers, manufacturing drawings, and sketches with ability to read and interpret specifications and inspection instructions to determine product conformance.
- Check dimensions and quality of work using optical comparators, indicators, micrometers, calipers, pitch micrometers, bore gages, height gages, etc.
- Must have a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances.
- Maintain a clean work space.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with coworkers at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of Zeiss CMM with Calypso software is a plus.
