Quality Specialist, $28-$30/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in inspecting and machining components, with a strong background in manufacturing environments. This role is critical in ensuring all quality standards are met and processes are continuously improved for optimal performance. The position may require a daily half-time split between our facilities in Rockland and Weymouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and machine components with precision and efficiency.
- Document processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Utilize statistical process control and apply the loss function concept for quality assurance.
- Record and verify standards for:
- Incoming Inspection
- In-process Inspection
- Gage Calibration
- Lot Control
- Routing Traveler
- Preventative Maintenance
- Non-conformance Reporting
- Assist with mechanical and electrical production inspection assignments during surge capacity.
- Balance time effectively between Rockland (component plant) and Weymouth (assembly plant).
Experience/Requirements:
- 3-5 years of significant experience in inspecting or machining components.
- High energy and a proactive initiative to challenge existing norms.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with statistical process control techniques and quality assurance concepts.
Training & Requirements:
- General Safety Training
- Quality System Awareness Training
