Responsibilities:
- Operate automated refining machinery including milling, grinding, melting, and incinerating.
- Inspect materials and machine conditions for quality and performance.
- Melt and mold metals in preheated ovens and furnaces.
- Record product weights before and after processing.
- Monitor, maintain, and document temperature data accurately.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures without exception.
- Organize, sort, and dismantle components for processing.
- Document and label finished lots for traceability.
- Identify and safely remove hazardous materials.
- Operate a forklift to move and lift materials.
- Disassemble materials using hand tools.
- Assist other technicians on an as-needed basis.
- Navigate across departments and support various machinery and operational needs.
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in navigating rough terrain and transitioning between multiple machines and departments.
- Ability to operate motorized equipment.
- Must be comfortable wearing PPE including Tyvek suit, airline respirator, and PAPR without interference (e.g., facial hair).
- Willingness to wear PPE at all times – “Work safe, Home safe.”
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures, such as those encountered in furnace operations and related equipment.
- Able to lift, push, pull, or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift is preferred.
- Strong communication skills; must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Ability to withstand extreme climate conditions (hot and cold).
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion required.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Two shifts available:
- Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday through Friday (Saturdays when needed)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
