Position Overview
The Regional Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple nursing home facilities within an assigned geographic region. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining operational efficiency and financial performance across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations Management
· Direct and coordinate all operational activities across multiple nursing home facilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
· Develop and implement strategic plans to improve facility performance, patient care quality, and financial outcomes
· Establish standardized operational procedures and best practices across all facilities
· Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
· Lead facility renovation and expansion projects as needed
Financial Management
· Oversee budget development and financial planning for all facilities in the region
· Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins
· Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality standards
· Review and approve major expenditures
· Develop strategies to optimize reimbursement and revenue cycle management
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
· Maintain facility licenses and certifications
· Direct quality improvement initiatives across all facilities
· Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvement strategies
· Oversee State Survey Preparation and response
Staff Management & Development
· Provide leadership and direction to facility administrators and department heads
· Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing facility administrators
· Implement training programs to enhance staff capabilities
· Conduct regular performance evaluations
· Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention
Stakeholder Relations
· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate leadership, medical directors, and community partners
· Serve as liaison between corporate office and facility operations
· Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
· Represent facilities in community events and professional organizations
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
· Minimum 7-10 years of progressive healthcare management experience
· Previous multi-site management experience in skilled nursing facilities required
· Current knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement systems

Work Environment
· Primary work location split between regional office and facility sites

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
