Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Manager to oversee and enhance our security operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, managing a team of security personnel, and ensuring the safety of facilities, employees, and assets. This role requires strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of security protocols, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect company assets and personnel.
- Manage daily operations of the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of surveillance systems, including CCTV.
- Respond to incidents promptly, conducting investigations as necessary and preparing detailed reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding security practices.
- Provide training on conflict management, first aid, CPR, and loss prevention techniques to security staff.
- Maintain records of security activities and incidents for review by management.
- On-Call.
- Will be required to work security shifts.
- Will be required to travel at times.
- Ability to teach safety and security courses.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a security management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of loss prevention strategies and best practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Background in law enforcement, corrections, probation or military security-police service is advantageous.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and other security technologies.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Computer and technology skills are required.
- Ability to pass background checks as required by company policy.
