Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tile Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various tile products, ensuring that all installations meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of technical specifications and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Install products according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Install tile products including but not limited to Schluter Systems waterproofing, Wedi, GoBoard and many more to specifications.
Understanding basic concepts of hand tools, tile tools and installation.
Must be able to work under supervision by Supervisor/Foreman following all provided guidelines and directions.
Must be able to lay out projects on your own and operate independently.
Connect with customers on process and steps taken during installs.
Carry all tile, thinset, grout and other related products into home.
Set up proper protection of flooring with drop cloths and plastic where needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in tile installation is required. Minimum of 5 years of tile installation experience.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including prints and schematics.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able and willing to deal with home owners and sometimes defuse tense situations.
Must be able to lift heavy objects as needed and perform physical tasks associated with installation work.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Must have your own reliable transportation to jobs as we travel to shore areas north and south of Northfield. NORTHFIELD WAS CHOSEN AS A MIDDLE POINT FOR OUR JOB LOCATIONS.
Must have basic tile tools. Some specific tools will be supplied to assist.
