Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various operational functions, focusing on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within our supply chain processes. This position requires a person who can multi-task, work independently and who enjoys a fast paced environment.
Duties
- Assist management in the development and implementation of transportation planning strategies to optimize logistics operations.
- Conduct business analysis to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the organization.
- Respond to customer service inquiries by email and/or phone.
- Assist management to ensure all product has corresponding manifests.
- Track and submit various reports; payroll, off-dock, OS&D
- Engage with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and company drivers to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Upload data daily to the corporate server.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the Tidewater area.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on collaboration across all offices.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in delivery, dispatching or supply chain management is a plus.
