Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to various destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
Duties
- Transport patients to routine medical appointments or hospital discharges
- Assist with non-emergency medical transportation of patients to doctors' appointments or hospital discharges
- Maintain safety and quality of care during transportation
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules and any changes in routes or passenger needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Assist with heavy lifting of packages or equipment when necessary during deliveries or pickups.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including paratransit, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or school bus driving is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for specific transport tasks.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations governing transport operations.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- A valid OH driver's license with a clean driving record is essential for this position.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
