About the Role
The company is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Government Relations and Policy to lead the development of a comprehensive government relations program. In this pivotal role, you will drive the corporate government relations function forward, aiming to advance the company's public policy agenda at the federal, state, and local levels. Your responsibilities will include establishing the company's presence as a thought leader in the policy and political spheres, especially on issues pertinent to the data storage and semiconductor industries.
You will develop and execute effective strategies to promote public policy priorities and influence discussions on critical business and technology issues. Building and leveraging relationships with government officials, industry groups, and stakeholders will be key to supporting the company's business objectives.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in law, government, public policy, or a related field, with at least 15 years of experience in government relations, preferably in a multinational corporate setting. A robust network of bipartisan relationships in Washington, D.C., along with a deep understanding of the federal legislative and regulatory processes, is essential. Experience in the data storage or semiconductor industries, particularly in policy, is highly advantageous.
We seek a proven leader with a successful track record in managing high-performance teams, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of stakeholders. A commitment to continuous improvement and a strong sense of ownership and accountability are vital for this role.
