About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President for Real Assets Accounting and Financial Reporting. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the accurate reporting of financial data, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting, valuation, and financial reporting. You will leverage your strong understanding of real estate investment structures, mortgage documents, development agreements, and various partnership agreements to deliver exceptional results.
You will play a critical role in the coordination and preparation of financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings and will foster relationships with third parties and the fund administrator. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of real estate accounting experience, particularly from real estate private equity firms, non-traded REITs, public REITs, or Big 4 auditors, with relevant industry experience.
The position requires strong technical accounting skills, particularly in historical cost and fair value basis of accounting for real estate, along with experience in SEC reporting. We are looking for someone who is deadline-focused, organized, and possesses excellent problem-solving capabilities.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a CPA is preferred. As a Vice President, you should demonstrate leadership qualities, business acumen, and a commitment to the highest levels of integrity and ethics.
