What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT System Administrator (Local Candidates Only) position at Confidentiality?
This Systems Administrator role will ensure that our systems operate securely, efficiently, and reliably to meet our business needs. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others and creating a positive user experience.
What you will be doing :
Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure and networks to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Implement best practices to ensure system security and integrity.
Monitor system performance, apply updates / patches, and perform preventative maintenance.
Manage patch management, log monitoring, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions.
Manage Network infrastructure to minimize downtime.
Manage WIFI network for optimal communications and coverage.
Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage escalation tickets.
Deploy and manage hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and virtual / physical servers.
Handle hardware and software installations, including account setup, change management, and planned maintenance.
Lead and participate in IT projects to implement systems, solutions, and new technologies that align with business needs.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, always communicating updates as part of a user-focused service.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with end-users, setting expectations and following through on resolutions.
Document support interactions in the helpdesk system, viewing each ticket as a part of our IT service product delivery.
Collaborate on IT projects with the mindset of creating and iterating on a product for internal stakeholders.
Analyze recurring issues to identify opportunities for improving our IT services, treating enhancements as part of product updates.
Provide proactive follow-ups, ensuring that every user interaction contributes to a positive perception of IT services.
Maintain inventory in asset management software.
Minimum domestic travel.
What you will need :
Min associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience a PLUS.
Minimum 7 years of experience in IT administration, network engineering, or a related role.
Expertise in Windows administration : Windows 11, Server 2022, Azure, AWS, Office 365, file storage, and print services.
Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware).
Experience with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switching and access points.
Systems experience ERP, WMS, MES
Proficient in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
Experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
In-depth knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.
SAP Business One experience preferred.
Experience with Cybersecurity tools and protocols.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and a quick learner
Adaptable and flexible in handling new challenges.
