REASON FOR THE NEED: Net new - acquired a new company and expanding their IT dept.
LOCATION: Local to GA - would like them to come onsite in the beginning but flexible after this
ONSITE REQUIREMENTS? Flexible To start at least 3 days/week
PROJECT
What is the project that they will be primarily working on?
- Product building - platform development and building; electronic monitoring system in the cloud
- Their products include GPS wrist wearables, scoring using predictive analytics and historical behavioral data, mobile applications for monitoring, supervision, and alerts
- They may also have to support some of their current platform as well, but very unlikely
- Working on implementation to the cloud
TECHNICAL SECTION
What types of tools will they be using?
- AWS
- Golang
- DB = Postgres, Mongo
- Networking - Linux or Windows
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Experience designing AWS architecture
- Has good architectural skills
- Designs for architecture
- Understand cloud communications
- Can create cloud-based solutions
- Be able to articulate what is on a diagram
- Able to develop in Golang
- Understands and has worked within a start up environment
- Someone that can wear many hats
- Been involved in new development
- WILL NOT have to do any support work
- Will have to do some testing, but they have their own testing team
Soft Skills
- Eugene can be demanding so this person will have to have to handle pressure
- They wear multiple hats so understanding they may need to jump in and help with other things outside of their job
- Motivated
- Self-sufficient and independent

- Product building background - Doesn't care about industry experience

We re hiring an AWS Architect to join a newly expanding IT team following a recent company acquisition. This is a new role offering the chance to help build a cutting-edge platform from the ground up. If you enjoy designing scalable cloud-based solutions, working in startup-like environments, and wearing multiple hats you ll love this opportunity.
What You ll Work On:
- Architecting and building a cloud-native platform that powers electronic monitoring systems, including GPS-enabled wearables, predictive analytics engines, and mobile supervision tools
- Designing robust AWS infrastructure for scalable and secure cloud solutions
- Collaborating with a cross-functional scrum team to bring new products to life
- Contributing to new development not support and ensuring system quality through hands-on testing where needed
- Playing a key role in our migration and implementation strategy to the cloud
Tech Stack:
- Cloud: AWS (must-have), Azure/Google Cloud Platform (nice-to-have)
- Languages: Golang (must-have)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Must-Have Experience:
