We are seeking a highly skilled School Security Officer to join our team in Socastee, South Carolina . The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing security protocols, responding to emergencies and critical incidents, building positive relationships and preventing conflicts, conducting safety drills and training, and reporting and documenting incidents.
Education and Knowledge Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Training in law enforcement, military, or security.
Experience and Skills
- 3 years of combined experience in fields such as military, law enforcement, corrections, security, or emergency response (including first responders or other relevant areas).
- Advanced proficiency in firearms and tactical training.
- Intermediate knowledge of emergency response systems and protocols.
- Intermediate skills in incident reporting and documentation tools.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Competencies
- Crisis Management and Problem Solving (Level 3).
- Communication and Relationship Building (Level 3).
- Knowledge of Law Enforcement and School Policies (Level 3).
Licenses and Certifications
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- SLED Certification preferred but not required.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to undergo and pass a drug test, psychological evaluation, and background check.
- Must own a firearm, duty belt (with Level 3 retention holster), and a total of 5 magazines.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- In-person attendance is required.
