Position Summary:
CRCMC is seeking a compassionate and dependable bilingual Reentry Specialist to support individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community. This part-time position involves facilitating conflict management workshops in correctional facilities and providing mediation and reentry support services in the community. Full training in mediation and workshop facilitation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate conflict management and reentry workshops for individuals preparing to return to the community
Conduct reentry mediation sessions with incarcerated individuals and their families or support systems
Coordinate with correctional staff and community partners to support successful transitions
Provide post-release follow-up, including mediation or coaching support where needed
Maintain detailed and confidential records of sessions and participant progress
Participate in CRCMC staff meetings, case reviews, and trainings
Required Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals impacted by incarceration or involved in the justice system
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to restorative justice, equity, and community empowerment
Ability to pass required background checks for facility access
Access to reliable transportation within Montgomery County
