Description
Confluence is seeking qualified individuals based on the Front Range of Colorado able to support remediation and water quality projects locally and throughout the Rocky Mountains. The position will require regular travel to project sites, collection of soil and water samples, coordination with earthwork contractors, and collection of required data and documentation. Successful candidates will have a valid driver’s license, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be comfortable working alone at remote locations, possess excellent attention to detail, be able to perform in a fast-paced collaborative work environment, and be self-motivated. This is mid-level position for environmental professionals wishing to contribute their gained expertise to grow into more technically challenging activities and roles.
Responsibilities
- Review and execute fieldwork based on provided scopes of work (SOW).
- Actively participate in hazard identification and mitigation in the field, and complete and maintain all required safety planning records in accordance with company and client polices.
- Travel to and from job sites in personal and/or company-provided field vehicles.
- Collect soil and water samples in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- Promptly communicate any deviations from provided SOW to the Project Manager and/or supervisor.
- Pack samples on ice and prepare packaging as needed for delivery to lab couriers or shipping with proper chains of custody.
- Collect required documentation and deliver to the project team as specified.
- Maintain accurate time and submit timesheets on a weekly basis.
- Support preparation of project figures and reports.
Requirements
- Must be located within 90 miles of Greeley, Colorado.
- Remediation experience
- Technical writing experience
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and manage your own time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software.
- Have a home office with a reliable internet connection, conducive to remote work.
- Have a computer capable of running company software that performs reliably and meets network security requirements.
- Be self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Maintain auditable personal notes on work completed to backup billed project work and approved indirect time.
- Comply with all Confluence and client policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, spend long hours outdoors in adverse weather conditions, and on your feet hiking or supervising field activities.
This is a safety-sensitive position which will require the following:
- A current and unimpaired driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Drug testing (pre-employment, random, and post-incident))
Preferred Qualifications
- Oil and gas industry experience
- Experience with the Esri suite of software products
- Commercial drone license
- HAZWOPER certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
