Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician will assist licensed pharmacists in routine tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient medication management. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Screen calls, take messages, and relay information accurately
- Retrieve and distribute mail, faxes, and messages
- Admit patients into the computer system and create patient charts
- Enter patient demographic, medical, and insurance information into the computer system
- Process third-party billing and reconciliation
- Adhere to policy and procedures related to narcotic documentation, distribution, and record-keeping
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License or Pharmacist Intern Registration required
- Basic computer skills necessary, including Windows navigation, mouse usage, accurate keyboarding, email communication, and password management
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
