What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Electronics Research Engineer position at Conflux Systems?
Position: Principal Scientist (Power Electronics)
Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Duration: Fulltime
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in the field of Power Electronics preferred with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Power Electronics and/or Power Converters OR Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in the field of Power Electronics with a minimum 10 years’ experience in Power Electronics and/or Power Converters.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work in international teams, and lead teams and manage projects.
- Experience with writing proposals and securing third party funding for research projects.
- Experience with designing and prototyping of electrical circuits, working with PCB manufacturers and machine shops for manufacturing of prototypes.
- Experience with writing firmware code for DSPs, MCUs, and FPGAs (c, c , Verilog) and PCB design.
- Ability to work onsite 100% of time and travel up to 15% travel.
