Railroad Laborer

Railroad Laborers
- Drives Hostler to transport and store intermodal containers to & from trackside
- Move intermodal containers from the railcars to trailers via Top Loaders, Side Loaders, Cranes, etc.
- Act as a spotter between heavy equipment operators; Top Loaders, Hostlers, Cranes, etc.
- Comply with all safety, attendance, operations & training guidelines/program.

Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Physically & mentally able to climb railcars, 20 feet
- Open availability required 1st shift 6:00AM-6:00pm & 3rd Shift 6:00pm-6:00am (Must be available for both shifts)
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to complete a criminal background, drug screen and physical

Application Question(s):
- In this role, you will be working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc). Are you willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions?
- In this role you will be standing for long periods of time, lifting (must be able to lift at least 50lbs), walking and climbing (up to 20 feet). Are you willing and able to do such?
- To be considered for this role, you must be able to pass a background check. Are you able to do this? (no felony convictions within the last 7 years, no jail/ parole/ probation in the last 7 years, and no theft convictions). Are you willing and able to pass this background check?
- To be considered, you must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen. Are you willing and able to pass this drug test?
- This role is working at the Railroad and as such is open 24 hours a day. 7 days a week, including holidays. You will be working 8 -12 hour shifts 5 days a week - with overtime. Your work schedule will include weekends and holidays. Are you willing and able to work this schedule?
- You will need reliable transportation to access the work site. Do you possess reliable private transportation.
