We’re currently seeking a Transportation Manager to join our team in Fort Worth Texas.
The Manager will be responsible for operations including the dispatching, driver safety and compliance, recruiting, and building the book of business. The position will work with the Customer, Dispatchers and other operational center personnel to develop daily dispatch plans and make proactive recommendations on adjustments to facilitate the operation.
Responsibilities
Transportation Manager
- Direct all short-haul drayage activities to exceed Customer expectations and deliver a solid financial return to the Company.
- Develop and grow a Customer base which aligns with the Company business objectives.
- Track and report key financial and operational performance metrics through scorecards, dashboards, and exception reports to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of Drivers to achieve the required competency levels to ensure all safety and legislative requirements are met.
- Maintain quality control, health and safety standards as directed by the Company and Customer

Qualifications
Requirements
- 5 years Transportation or Logistics experience
- Logistics experience within a trucking (CDL) background
- Experience with managing driver performance and retention
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze numerical and written information
- Must be familiar with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft office tools
- Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products
- This position may require work outside of normal business hours
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
- Open availability to Manage OTR and Hostler(s) that operate 24/7
Salary : $61,600 - $90,000
