Key Responsibilities
- Reprocess endoscopes following manufacturers' IFUs and standards (AAMI, SGNA, AORN, CDC).
- Maintain endoscopic and reprocessing equipment and inventory.
- Perform safety checks, ensure equipment functionality, and coordinate repairs.
- Clean, disinfect, and calibrate endoscopes and related instruments per guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and infection control protocols.
- Operate automated washers, sterilizers, and reprocessors per guidelines.
- Inspect, assemble, and package medical instruments with 100% accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation and distribution of sterilized items.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding workflow and equipment issues.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
Requirement
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years' experience in scope reprocessing and central supply or O.R. processing
- 2 years' Inpatient Hospital experience
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) (must obtain within 18 months)
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to be on feet all shift & move
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision
