The ideal candidate will have expertise in pharma data standards, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and scalable data architectures for regulatory filings, drug pricing, and healthcare analytics.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Architect within pharma, medical devices, or healthcare payer domains.
- Strong background in Regulatory Strategy systems, including RIM, eCTD submissions, and ensuring FDA/EMA compliance.
- In-depth understanding of Medicare data structures, such as:
- Part D prescription data (claims, formulary, and pricing)
- CMS reporting obligations
- Industry data standards like HL7, FHIR, and NCPDP
- Solid experience with pharma master data frameworks like IDMP, SPOR, and product registration data.
- Practical knowledge of Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Design scalable and compliant data solutions for Regulatory Intelligence, Medicare drug pricing, and compliance reporting, while creating detailed data flow diagrams, ER models, and integration maps for pharmaceutical and Medicare systems.
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Medicare/Medicaid analysts, and IT teams to define Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and enforce governance frameworks.
- Align data modeling and architecture with evolving regulations from FDA, EMA, and CMS.
- Optimize data pipelines for real-time analytics and decision support for Medicare formularies, while resolving data ownership conflicts between commercial pharma and government pricing functions.
- Promote data-centric strategies for areas such as Medicare Part D, Medicaid rebates, and compliance reporting.
- Tools & Platforms: SQL, ERwin, Collibra, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure
- Experience working with platforms like Veeva RIM, SAP, or systems related to Medicare claims processing
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies in use cases like drug pricing analytics or Medicare fraud detection
