About the Role:
Be part of the team that powers scalable systems supporting thousands of engineers at Nutanix. We operate with a strong focus on infrastructure as code, observability (monitoring and alerting), Kubernetes, and Python. Our mission is to enhance developer efficiency through high-quality tools and services - and when they don't exist, we create them. You'll collaborate in an environment that values initiative and hands-on contributions.
Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, and maintain secure, enterprise-level, fault-tolerant infrastructure with robust alerting and monitoring.
Build automated infrastructure tools and platforms using terraform/opentofu, salt-stack/ansible, docker, Kubernetes/helm, bash, and python scripting.
Monitor and diagnose current infrastructure limitations and apply scalable improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee systems and environments essential for continuous development and deployments.
Act as a consultant to internal and external partners on optimal task execution strategies.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience in relevant roles
Strong programming expertise, especially in Python
Proficiency in using infrastructure provisioning and configuration tools
In-depth knowledge of container technologies and Kubernetes
Experience working with open-source monitoring and alerting solutions
Practical background in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), including cost optimization and architectural best practices
Demonstrated success in leading major technology refactorings
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, CircleCI)
Knowledge of Artifact Repositories (Artifactory, Nexus)
Experience managing Gerrit
Proficiency in deploying multi-tenant Zabbix Alerting architectures
Experience in building multi-tenant monitoring solutions with open-source tools
Important Note:
Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in Python programming, Bash scripting, and Salt-Stack configuration management to be considered. Please submit only the most relevant profiles.
Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position combining the flexibility of remote work with regular in-office collaboration. Most employees are expected onsite 2 3 days per week, though specific expectations may vary by team or role, as guided by your manager.
