Security & Vulnerability Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Security Engineer with over 4 years of expertise in vulnerability management and remediation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks to maintain system integrity in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments and scans to detect security weaknesses in applications and systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address vulnerabilities efficiently.
• Develop and execute remediation plans aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Utilize advanced cybersecurity tools for vulnerability detection and analysis.
• Recommend security solutions to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Maintain detailed documentation on vulnerability management processes and remediation strategies.
• Provide guidance and best practice recommendations to team members.
• Prepare reports on vulnerability metrics, progress, and security anomalies.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management and remediation.
• Deep understanding of security threats, risk mitigation, and remediation strategies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python or similar).
• Experience with APIs and security tool integrations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like SNYK, Qualys, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, GitHub Advanced Security, and Container Security.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
• Understanding of cloud security principles with experience in AWS.
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security preferred).
