Job Summary :
Our operating unit provides construction services, and we are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team.
Warehouse Associates are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming materials, picking, and filling orders from stock, packing, and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.
Job Responsibilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel and Outlook.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record as driving to pick up materials is sometimes required.
- A current Motor Vehicle Record is required.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Ensuring accuracy when receiving, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials of various sizes and weights, often in a fast-paced environment.
Managing and organizing stock effectively, including inventory tracking and stock retrieval.
Meeting deadlines for filling orders, packing, and shipping materials.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
Identifying and resolving issues related to stock discrepancies, misplaced inventory, or packing errors.
Understanding warehouse safety protocols, such as proper lifting techniques and equipment operation, to ensure a safe working environment.
Physical requirements :
Ability to stand, stoop, squat, and bend for extended periods of time.
