Your New Job
The Position :
Tower Tech I is an entry level position that supports installing infrastructure equipment on telecommunication broadcast towers. Tower Technicians build, maintain, and upgrade cellular equipment for major cellular carriers. Most Tower Technicians spend most of their working time at significant elevations (100’ and above) and this position does require a significant amount of travel during the work week (Monday through Friday).
This position requires zero experience. True North provides on the job training and certifications will be provided during your employment.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) :
- Technician can physically maneuver the structure without any issues.
- Technician can rig a load line on any tower or structure, unassisted with minimal issues.
- Technician can mount steel, antennas, radios, and other assets properly with minimal direction.
- Technician can route and secure feedlines to CWS and industry standards with minimal direction
- Technician understands and can properly install color coding with minimal direction.
- Technician practices safety in all aspects of climbing and construction.
- Technician receives direction from managers and executes tasks remotely.
- Technician understands and utilizes all tower calls and hand signals.
- Technician can successfully de-rig all structures with minimal direction
- Technician always understands and utilizes proper anchor points and practices 100% Tie off.
- Technician can perform a harness inspection.
- Technician strives to provide a quality install.
- Technician is reliable and punctual.
- Technician practices accurate timekeeping skills.
- Technician shows positive attitude, works well with his crew, upholds the highest safety measures, and promotes the True North culture.
