We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions. As a key member of our CDI department, you will play a crucial role in reviewing medical records to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient records to identify areas for improvement in clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify and correct documentation as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including AHA Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines and CMS directives.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in CDI, coding, or a related field required.
- Strong knowledge of MS-DRG classification, reimbursement structures, and disease pathophysiology essential.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills necessary.
