Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Revenue Cycle Consultant to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for screening self-pay patients at hospital bedside for eligibility in various governmental and non-governmental programs. You will identify all sources of potential payors, including auto insurance, Workers' Compensation, commercial insurance, private insurance, and more, to route accounts appropriately in the Patient Accounting environment.
You will obtain and complete the Confidential Financial Statement form and assist patients in applying for benefits they may be eligible for. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our organization.
- Conduct interviews with patients and/or family members to determine eligibility and gather necessary information.
- Maintain complete documentation of activities performed on account while in-house and during the Patient accounting cycle.
- Perform financial clearance functions, including collections, and cancel accounts that have not had patient cooperation and are not eligible for programs.
- Follow up on EES assigned accounts to ensure follow-through on Government application submissions and develop working relationships with patients based on good communication skills.
- Conduct field visits to patient homes for skip tracing and assisting patients with documents.
- Notify hospital case management, social services, and admissions staff of case screening determinations and outcomes via verbal and written communication.
