What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Service Valet position at Conklin Cars?
Job Description
The Service Valet helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.
The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast paced environment, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must have a positive attitude and must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Experience is preferred.
Ideal candidate would be available full-time from 7-5. Part-time afternoons would considered. This position would be great for someone who is retired but looking to generate some extra income.
Responsibilities
- Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed
- Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
- Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Follows all safety and security procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
- Highly professional and dependable
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer and internet skills
