What are the responsibilities and job description for the Closeout Sales Specialist position at Conklin Fashions?
Conklin Fashions, Inc. is a wholesale jewelry and accessories distributor with over 25 years of services to customers worldwide. Over the years we have developed close relationships with clients ranging from wholesalers and distributors to chain stores, private retailers, and countless other vendors.
We are currently seeking to grow our workforce in our sales department! This opportunity involves selling directly to retail customers and distributors with experience or knowledge in website management a great benefit but not required. Additionally, candidates should be able/willing to look into more niche opportunities for sales such as social media groups and marketplaces.
Another responsibility involved in sales will be the product preparation for marketing. This involves sorting out the allocated merchandise and photographing it in such a way as to present a product that will attract buyers. These photos are to be high quality, edited as needed, and used for e-commerce listings, catalogs, email advertising, and booth décor. Much of this process will involve working both in the front office as well as the warehouse in order to locate, collect, and prepare merchandise.
Lastly, a sales candidate must be able to communicate clearly and with enthusiasm both to management and customers. Positive attitude is paramount to succeeding in sales and a sales candidate needs to be excited to sell products in order to make customers excited to buy them. Enthusiasm is a major factor in moving closeout items as they are often in need of a bit more upselling to move. This will be critical in e-commerce, phone sales, in-person sales at shows, and is a crucial skill for any position that engages with other people. In addition to attitude, adequate vocabulary and spelling are needed. All listings, emails, or other postings must be without errors or poor language.
