POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our Sales team is seeking to hire a Territory Manager with 5 years of proven B2B sales success in the HVAC supply industry. We are looking for a high performer who is forward-looking, innovative, enthusiastic, and an ambitious team player. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish. Qualified candidates will be motivated self-starters with superb judgment. They need to possess strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Conklin Metal Industries is a distributor of all types of sheet metal, HVAC, and duct fabrication supplies. Our founding dates to 1874 and is now in its fourth generation as a family-owned and operated business. We service the entire southeastern U.S. out of seventeen (17) warehouses. Our customers include sheet metal contractors, mechanical contractors, duct fabricators, residential/multi-family new construction contractors, and HVAC contractors who specialize in service and replacements. We are a one-stop shop for every component used in the construction and installation of a commercial or residential HVAC duct system. This includes the sheet metal for the rectangular or spiral/round duct, plus all the materials to connect, fasten, insulate, attenuate sound, control vibration, reinforce, direct air flow, provide access, and ultimately hang and seal. We also stock the widest array of sheet metal forming machinery in the southeast.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct 5 to 8 customer visits per day, identifying and meeting with decision-makers.

Professionally conduct oneself in all interactions with contractors, customers, employees, and vendors.

Achieve sales, gross profit, and other assigned objectives following goals established by the Company.

Solicit new accounts/customers and assist in developing market strategies.

Develop relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service and assisting in improving customer profits while maximizing wallet share.

Act as a consultant for our customers rather than an order taker.

Provide value to customers by being the subject matter expert on sheet metal processes, residential new construction, multi-family projects, machinery, and more.

Maintain consistent weekly/bi-weekly contact with all assigned accounts and demonstrate strong selling and follow-up skills.

Strategize and focus on capturing new incremental and organic business within the market.

Keep abreast of technical developments and changes in product lines, monitor competitive threats, and discuss proper responses with the Manager.

Attend and participate in vendor trainings, sales meetings, trade shows, and other business associations.

Travel with main vendor reps a minimum of once every 3-4 weeks for at least half a day.

Provide customer trainings around new products and/or solutions for their businesses.

Strategize and partner with the Regional Manager, Director of Sales, and VP of Sales to identify and pursue opportunities within the territory to help achieve Company goals.

Maintain good judgment and adhere to company policies and objectives.

Monitor sales trends and product performance results.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience.

5 years of proven B2B sales success in the HVAC supply industry required.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills required.

Proven track record of increasing sales and exceeding goals.
