This candidate will work Monday through Friday and will need to have flexibility in scheduling – typically starting around 8 or 8:30 AM, with shifts ending when all tasks are complete (typically between 6-8 PM).

As our Shipping Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service every day. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, you’ll manage the pulling, staging, validation, routing, and loading of all outgoing shipments, ensuring a 99% or higher accuracy rate.

What You’ll Do

Your Day-to-day Will Involve
- Overseeing driver assignments and optimizing routes to balance efficiency, cost, and top-notch service.
- Maintaining a clean, professional fleet presentation.
- Ensuring trucks are loaded in line with DOT guidelines and safety regulations.
- Handling and managing all shipping paperwork accurately.
- Creating and fostering a positive, team-driven environment.
- Building rapport with team members and customers alike.
- Becoming a product expert and proficient with related software.
- Consistently delivering experiences that exceed customer expectations.
- Reporting and resolving shipping errors effectively, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Securing the facility at the end of each day.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to connect authentically with a diverse team.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing teams using Situational Leadership techniques, tailored to each team member’s individual competencies and motivations.
- A natural ability to rally and inspire your team through leading by example.
- Comfort and resilience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment where plans can change quickly. Organized chaos energizes you rather than overwhelms you!
- Flexibility in scheduling – typically starting around 8 or 8:30 AM, with shifts ending when all tasks are complete (typically between 6-8 PM).
- High school diploma or GED.
- WWMS (Wireless Warehouse Management System) experience valued and preferred.
- Forklift experience valued and preferred.
- At least 2-5 years' experience routing and overseeing truck loading.
- Industrial distribution experience (sheet metal and HVAC preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
