What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse and Shipping Manager position at Conleys Manufacturing and Sales?
Conley’s Greenhouse Manufacturing & Sales is seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual to manage our shipping warehouse and yard. This position will be responsible for directing and managing all shipping operations to support our existing and growing greenhouse manufacturing business. The shipping and warehouse manager will play an essential role in the order fulfillment process by supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the fulfillment team. They must ensure that all outbound and inbound products are accurately transacted and executed in a timely manner on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory control throughout the warehouse and utilizing the company’s ERP system. This position receives, stores, and distributes material and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timelines of all functions.
Warehouse Management responsibilities include:
· Monitor, resolve and work to eliminate operation issues that impact order fulfillment: ensure that orders are shipped on time on a daily basis
· Identify and resolve customer experience fulfillment risks including warehouse issues and integration problems between the admin system(s), warehouse and manufacturing plant. Resolve service issues through involvement and proactive communication with key people from fulfillment, global parts, customer service and/or IT
· Process improvement to drive down cycle time and increase inventory/order accuracy. Understanding where we have obstacles in our processes, systems or people and day-to-day activities and works expeditiously to fix them
· Manage pick and pack operations
· Assist with barcoding and ERP system implementation
· Provide leadership, mentoring and best practices for entire fulfillment team
· Communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, understand material and provide instructions to all departments
· Maintain accurate inventory with routine counts and meticulous organization
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Logistics Management responsibilities include:
· Create and execute a schedule of priorities and responsibilities while promoting a highly collaborative environment
· Meet strict deadlines and goals while maintaining near perfect order fulfillment
· Ensure deliveries are efficiently and accurately loaded/unloaded to support the movement of goods to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives
· Manage carrier relationships for optimum pricing and delivery times and schedule transport to customers
· Analyze data on deliveries and transportation and recommend/implement improvements
· Supervise shipping team to ensure quality control and that orders go out correctly and on time
· Suggests improvement to the order fulfillment procedures and act to improve timelines and/or reduce costs
· Adherence to all safety and quality standards, policies and procedures, including DOT regulations
· Develop ongoing strategy for both fulfillment and other operational endeavors, including but not limited to new technology implementation for shipping services, additional hardware and hard-working staff
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
· Bilingual in English and Spanish required
· 2-3 years job related experience
· Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
· Above average math skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work/deadlines in a fast paced environment
· Must understand DOT regulations and be able to handle DOT logistics
· Ability to work 40 hours and some weekends
· Excellent communication, self-management, organization and problem-solving skills
· Must successfully pass pre-employment background check
· Forklift certification required
Position is full time (Monday-Friday, 40hrs/week). Pay depends on qualifications and level of experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
