We are seeking a dynamic and driven engineering student to join the team for a Quality Systems Engineering internship part-time remotely during Spring 2025. As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to CONMED’s Quality System, ISO 13485 standards, risk management, test methods, calibration and product line support. You will develop operations business acumen, and skills such as data collection and analysis, and problem solving through production issues, customer complaint investigations, CAPAs and NCRs. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering student seeking a robust internship within a growing international medical device company with multiple manufacturing and design sites across the U.S. Intern Responsibilities: Create and complete a data collection plan, then analyze findings and make recommendations and improvements on one product that has had a significant impact on the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metric Contribute to Supplier Performance Initiatives by completing Supplier Desk Audits Coordinate and oversee Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) through proactive and consistent communication with suppliers Investigate Non-Conformances, determining root cause and implementing solutions Support the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams through utilization of engineering problem solving and investigation tools and resources Support in IQ, OQ & PQ activities. Support daily production, engineering & Quality activities. Projects you will work on: Audit plan 2025 Feb24th-27th BSI Lead Auditor ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 19011:2018 Harmonization of the WI-QA-09-33 Bioburden Procedure with the corporate. In response to IA NC, working with Maria. Develop Continuous Monitoring Procedure and training (as needed to assist Maria) Calibration Software testing - running scripts and testing system functionality. Data migration verifications for corporate solution. Calibration Data scrubbing for migration to IndySoft Calibration Out of Tolerances; Calibration Training Development and roll-out DI Water Statistical Analysis and CAPA Project Management Compressed Air procedure re-write and training development CAPA Updates (weekly requirement) Touch base with CAPA owners and drive completion Suggest team involvement where necessary This internship position requires a driven and responsible team player who can think creatively while keeping business objectives front of mind.
