For more details, please visit: www.conmed.com THE OPPORTUNITY: The Vice President, Corporate Controller will be responsible for the development of CONMED Corporation’s financial and operational management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. In addition, this role will be charged with developing and implementing specific financial policies and procedures. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Advise CFO and other key members of the senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, operations strategy, investment priorities, and policy matters. Effectively communicate and present critical financial and operational matters at select Board of Directors and committee meetings. Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly with lenders, customers, and investors. Contribute to the development of CONMED’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization. Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO informed of all critical issues. Directly oversee, provide guidance, and organize the work of the global accounting, finance, and tax staff, global operations and supply chain, and Corporate Sales group. Set operational targets for divisions and execute ongoing process to monitor target achievement. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality. Ensure all staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development. Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals and assign accountabilities. REQUIREMENTS: An undergraduate degree is required in Accounting or Business. MBA or CPA strongly preferred. 15 years in a senior management role required. External audit and/or in-house financial management experience required. Experience supporting a business with a manufacturing environment is required. A strong background in medical device field or an FDA-regulated industry. Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise. Superior management skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers. Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interface with senior management, Board of Directors, investors and staff. Ability to operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker. Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for employer-visa sponsorship. Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 230,000 to 330,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
