What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer- Advanced Manufacturing Engineering position at ConMet?
The Controls Engineer is responsible for integrating equipment into manufacturing processes, while also managing projects as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Team. This position will focus heavily on automation equipment integration, and facilitate teams, internal or external to the company, to successfully execute projects. AME projects are primarily the design, installation and modification of capital equipment and facilities. Supports our assembly, foundry, casting, machining and material handling processes at all plants.
Key skills for this role include :
Education and Experience :
- Minimum of 4-year Degree in Industrial Automation or Electrical or Controls or Electronics Engineering Discipline and 10 years' experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Facilitate discussion to align all critical stakeholders. Mix of corporate and plant engineering team.
- Ability to influence personnel for decision making using data and critical reasoning
- Minimum 5 years' controls engineering experience with a high pace manufacturing environment running 24X7. It should be the most recent experience.,
- Ability to solve practical problems, using problem solving methods 5-Why, A3, 8-D.

Compensation & Benefits
ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet / Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year.
