Title: Independent Contractor - 2 Person Team
Reports To: Manager, Delivery
Overview: The Independent Contractor Team is responsible for transporting and delivering products to customers. They support a successful delivery experience by driving vehicles on assigned routes, loading/unloading goods at various locations, and performing pre-trip inspections of vehicle equipment prior to travel as required by state law. Drivers will be responsible for operating vehicles, maintaining records with proper documentation, including insurance statements, and following state requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery routes run up to six days a week, including weekends.
- 2 man team will pick up routes from our warehouse and return undelivered product and trash each day.
- The delivery service is room-of-choice with full setup of furniture.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of recent professional appliance or furniture delivery and installation experience
- Able to drive and operate a 26’ box truck with a liftgate
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record with no more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
Skills & Abilities:
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to use a delivery app on a mobile device
- Communicative
- Professional in appearance and manner
- Can lift 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 250 lbs. with assistance
