Responsibilities
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Work within a team environment .
- Must follow direction of the immediate Supervisor.
- Follow all quality guidelines & preventative maintenance.
- Complete all final adjustment, inspection, and testing of marimbas, xylophones, vibes, and chimes.
- Test and adjust instruments of all sizes and types with a mallet(s) or accessories to meet product and/or customer requirements while understanding quality and mechanical specifications.
- Read and interpret gauges including electronic tuning devices.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work in order to meet product and production specifications.
- Compile daily test yields and work with manufacturing to develop corrective action plan(s) for any quality issues.
- Document repair/defective product and work with Engineering and Quality personnel to resolve.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards.
- May be called upon to perform other production duties as determined by the Company.
- Must understand the musical scale and basic understanding of mallet percussion tuning.
- Must be able to interpret, read, and follow verbal and written instructions without assistance.
- Must be able to understand product specifications.
- Must have excellent hearing capable of listening and checking the balance on instruments.
- Able to use, read, and interpret various hand tools, gauges, and electronic tuning devices.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working in a team environment.
- Must be able to regularly and routinely lift in excess of 40 pounds without assistance.
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching is required.
- Constant walking and standing; frequent reaching, grabbing, pushing, and pulling.
