What are the responsibilities and job description for the STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR position at Connally ISD?
Primary Purpose:
Coordinate, organize and execute campus procedures that relate to student services including but not limited to attendance, state / local testing, 504, RTi, and other duties assigned. Provide support to students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators in the identification, evaluation, and development of individualized plans designed to support students in need of interventions.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree from accredited university
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of state and federal laws for student attendance, state / local testing, 504, RTi
Knowledge of attendance laws and attendance for credit
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff
Ability to implement policies and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
2 years of experience in an administrative or leadership role within a school setting
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Program Management
1. Organize and execute campus procedures that relate to student services including but not limited to attendance, state / local testing, 504, RTi.
2. Promote, coordinate, and disseminate communication among staff, teachers, students, and the community regarding the campus and student attendance laws.
3. Plan and conduct parent meetings. Consult with parents, administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and other relevant individuals regarding student services and attendance along with state / local testing, 504, RTi.
4. Organize and execute campus procedures for all students on campus in order to monitor attendance, state / local testing, 504, RTi processes.
5. Collaborate with campus administrators, counselors and campus SRO to recognize attendance trends and concerns.
6. Ensure timely notification to parents and students regarding concerns with student attendance.
7. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
8. Collaborate with campus administrators, counselors, and teachers in relation to state / local testing, 504, RTi processes
