Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and teach essential life skills in various settings, including homes, schools, and community settings. Behavior Technicians play a crucial role in delivering evidence-based interventions, collecting data, and supporting clients in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the BCBA to address clients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide one-on-one direct instruction to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Collect data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection tools and methods.
- Assist clients in acquiring and practicing functional skills across various domains, including communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
- Foster a supportive and positive learning environment for clients, promoting engagement, motivation, and independence.
- Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review client progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and ensure consistency across settings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other team members, providing updates on progress and sharing relevant information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity, and collect accurate data.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, or community settings as needed.
