The Distribution Test Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tests and measurements to evaluate the functionality and performance of products, components, and systems using a variety of tools and equipment to conduct tests, analyze data, and report results.
As the Distribution Test Technician, you will work in accordance with established guidelines and procedures to ensure accurate and timely testing. The Distribution Test Technician will also provide technical support to other departments and personnel when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Perform setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and systems
- Assemble, document, and maintain test setups
- Develop and execute test plans, analyze test data, and troubleshoot/repair assemblies and systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on test equipment
- Always maintain area cleanliness and safety
- Provide technical support to other departments and provide feedback to management on test results
- Document test results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to engineers and supervisors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field (preferred)
- A minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
- Understanding of industry safety regulations
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- An understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
