Position Title: Program Manager
Location: Tacoma, WA
Reports To: Executive Director
Job Summary:
The Program Manager oversees daily operations of a residential facility for children with developmental disabilities, managing staff, implementing care programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee facility operations and maintenance.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff; manage schedules and professional development.
- Create and implement individualized care plans; coordinate educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; prepare for audits and accreditation.
- Communicate with families and engage with community organizations.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses; seek grants and funding opportunities.
- Lead crisis management efforts, including emergency response plans.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in residential care, with at least 1 year working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and budget management skills.
Certifications and Requirements:
- Graduation certificate for your degree.
- Current First Aid/CPR (hands-on component required).
- Bloodborne Pathogen and Food Handlers certificates.
- Negative TB test (within the last year).
- Behavioral and Crisis Management training (Right Response or PROACT preferred).
- Three (3) references with phone and email contacts.

Working Conditions:
- Residential facility; may require evening, weekend, and on-call hours.
