ABOUT THE EVENT :

We are hosting inperson hiring event and information sessions on Wednesday January 15th at 4 pm and 6 pm to provide all of the information you need to determine if becoming a behavior Technician is right for you.

This is a group event which will include a presentation question and answer session and a oneonone meeting with a talent or leadership team member.

During this event you will :

  • Learn about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and what it means to be a Behavior Technician.
  • Learn what it takes to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
  • Learn about Connect n Care and why it is a great place to work.
  • Learn about the position expectation schedule compensation and benefits.
  • Meet with some of our awesome staff.
  • Meet and interact with likeminded people and potential future peers.

If you decide at the end of the group presentation that you want to further explore becoming a Behavior Technician with Connect n Care ABA we will schedule you for a followup virtual interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist.

ABOUT THE POSITION :

A Behavior Technician (BT) plays a vital role in the life of an individual with autism. By using the techniques proven through the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) the BT will work one on one with a child to reduce redirect and even eliminate behaviors. This impacts not only the child by helping them communicate and complete basic and advanced life skills... but it also impacts the family by providing them with a way to truly connect with their child. It is not always easy and it is not for everyone but in this role... YOU WILL CHANGE LIVES

As a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician you will work one on one with children with autism spectrum disorder providing ABA therapy whether it be from a patients home school or in the community.

In this role you will :

  • Provide direct 1 : 1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments
  • Follow an individualized treatment plan tailormade by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address and improve deficits
  • Implement behavior plans created by the BCBA
  • Collect data through observation and submit detailed session notes
  • Participate in training and team meetings
  • Collaborate with supervisors and peers
  • Some of the areas you will address with your client may include :

  • Language acquisition
  • Functional communication training
  • Social skills training
  • Daily living skills
  • Decreasing maladaptive behaviors
  • Community safety skills
  • Toilet training
  • Executive function training
  • Requirements to become a Behavior Technician (BT) :

  • Experience working with children is required.
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly preferred
  • Minimum educational requirement of a High School Diploma(or equivalent)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have completed the online 40hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course OR must complete it within the first 30 days of employment (with our help & guidance of course!)
  • RBT certification is not required but is a plus
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to obtain required certifications and training (i.e. First Aid)
  • Reliable transportation with a current and clear drivers license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check including child abuse clearances
