Job Description: Sales Representative - Technology Solutions
Position Overview
Responsible for marketing document management, print management, fax management software, and related services, along with other technology products within the assigned territory. This role involves evaluating customers' business environments to recommend effective automation tools and cost-saving strategies. The candidate must demonstrate excellent product knowledge, deliver compelling presentations, and utilize effective sales techniques to develop new accounts and expand existing relationships.
Primary Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesSales Activities:
- Continually prospect for new business while following up on all leads.
- Identify new sales opportunities for services and technology products within the existing customer base.
- Proactively manage sales opportunities to meet and exceed goals.
- Customize technology solutions based on customer needs by coordinating company resources.
- Articulate the unique business value of the company’s services and technology products.
- Deliver impactful presentations that communicate the value proposition effectively.
- Execute the company’s proven sales process, focusing on leveraging technology to advance customers' businesses.
- Participate in sales meetings and collaborate with other sales representatives as needed.
- Plan sales calls with clear objectives to maximize productivity.
- Consistently exceed sales quotas and achieve target gross profit margins.
Product Knowledge & Sales Skills:
- Stay current on industry changes, product lines, and competitors' offerings.
- Project a professional image to customers at all times.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and growth opportunities through continuous learning.
- Analyze new manufacturer products as required.
- Self-assess and improve personal sales skills to align with industry standards.
Documentation:
- Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
Miscellaneous Duties:
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and new business engagements.
- Attend all relevant sales meetings and manufacturer’s sales training sessions.
- Communicate concerns about products, procedures, or territory management with management.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in selling and marketing managed IT services or other technology products.
