Position - Assistant Fund Controller
Location - Downtown Chicago
Salary - $190K - 200K bonus
Essential Duties:
- Perform initial review of quarterly NAV close process and financial statements prepared by fund financial analysts
- Work directly with external auditors throughout the year on complex transactions and accounting conclusions
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Oversee and directly review work of financial analysts
- Assist in preparation and review of capital calls, distributions, and responding to investor requests/questions
- Assist with ad-hoc requests and projects within the Finance department
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or finance with exposure to credit, private equity funds, or hedge funds
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferred: Experience in audit at Big 4 with FS clients
