My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Location: Madison WI
Hybrid: 1-2 days work from home after training
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Develop strategies to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
- Support internal personnel with accounting control procedures.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with budget preparation and monthly variance analysis.
- Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
- Participate in external year-end audits.
- Assess internal controls, including risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP requirements.
- Manage bank settlements and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounting.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
