Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This individual will oversee the preparation, analysis, and management of budgets and forecasts for the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments to provide valuable financial insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation and development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze and monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
- Prepare financial models and projections for decision-making purposes.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to predict financial outcomes and trends.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data from various departments to ensure budget and forecast accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports summarizing budget performance, forecasting changes, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide in-depth analysis of revenue, expenses, and cost drivers.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with department heads and senior management to understand business needs and ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guide the development of department-specific budgets.
- Serve as a financial advisor to various teams by providing budgetary and forecasting support.
- Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Review existing budgeting and forecasting processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and guidelines in all budgetary and forecasting activities.
- Assist in the implementation of new tools or technologies that improve financial reporting and forecasting.
- Ad-hoc Analysis:
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as required by management.
- Assist with strategic financial planning and other financial initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably within a corporate or finance setting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
