What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Revenue Accountant position at Connect Search, LLC?
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Revenue Accountant with expertise in SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance to join our dynamic finance team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue accounting, as well as optimizing processes to support a rapidly growing business. This role will have a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Recognition:
- Manage and ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 guidelines.
- Review SaaS contracts to identify performance obligations, allocation of transaction prices, and recognition patterns.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue processes.
- Month-End Close:
- Perform monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Reconcile deferred revenue and contract balances.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare revenue-related financial reports and disclosures for management and external stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights into revenue trends and performance.
- Process Improvement:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) to streamline and improve revenue-related processes.
- Assist in implementing and optimizing revenue recognition systems and tools.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Serve as a key liaison for external auditors during revenue audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and evolving standards related to SaaS and revenue recognition.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
