Position - Senior Technical Accounting Manager
Location - Chicago
Office Policy - Hybrid
Compensation - $160k base plus 15% bonus
Responsibilities
- Promote global consistency and adoption of best practices across finance and business transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with US GAAP.
- Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive accounting policy documentation and related training materials to improve accessibility and usability.
- Serve as a resource for accounting policy application and best practices across the organization.
- Lead efforts to standardize and maintain processes related to finance master data, such as the chart of accounts.
- Conduct technical accounting research on complex matters and draft supporting white papers as needed.
- Provide support to international operations on US GAAP conversions and other technical accounting matters.
- Offer technical accounting guidance to business leaders and the business development team for special projects and transactions.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards as they become effective.
- Assist in the review of external filings by providing policy insights and technical accounting expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting-Required
- CPA-Required
- 7 years either at a large public accounting firm or corporation
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
