As Director of Field Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading high-stakes construction projects from start to finish—ensuring they meet rigorous standards for quality, safety, and performance. What You’ll Do
- Ensure all construction activities meet quality, safety, and project specifications as defined by CSS
- Lead the implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) systems across job sites
- Conduct inspections independently to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations
- Review and evaluate contract documents, including drawings and stakeholder input, for accuracy and completeness
- Develop and implement robust QC programs, training initiatives, and lessons learned documentation
- Oversee documentation, inspection records, audits, and scorecards for contractors and internal teams
- Identify and manage non-conformance issues, leading corrective action planning and resolution
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets to align with organizational goals and client objectives
- Coordinate internal and external resources for efficient project delivery
- Manage risk and resolve issues quickly to minimize disruptions and delays
- Oversee project financials, controlling costs and driving efficiency
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and insights
- Ensure vendors and subcontractors meet CSS standards for quality, safety, and performance
- Train and lead field teams, driving accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
- Support strategic initiatives, mentor rising leaders, and champion company values
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in construction management, project management, and/or quality management
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional field teams and subcontractors
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, or quality management
- Professional certifications in construction, quality assurance, or project management (e.g., PMP, CQE)
Key Skills and Strengths
- Deep knowledge of construction disciplines (structural, civil, electrical), building codes, and safety regulations
- Expertise in QA/QC implementation, site inspections, and contract document reviews
- Skilled in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and inspection tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities

Work Environment & Requirements
- Indoor office work and extensive fieldwork in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform tasks at varying heights
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
